A Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) is a centralized network device that manages and controls multiple Access Points (APs) within a wireless local area network (WLAN). It streamlines administration, enhances performance, and enforces network-wide security policies.

WLCs work in tandem with APs to ensure seamless wireless connectivity between client devices—such as laptops, smartphones, and tablets—and the wired network infrastructure. OpsRamp integrates with WLC using SNMP.
